Anna Wipplinger is a scientific assistant at the Institute of Physiology and Pathophysiology at the Paracelsus Medical University of Salzburg and the Ludwig Boltzmann institute for Osteoarthritis and Rehabilitation. She is involved in the research of cultured and primary cartilage cells in the context of ferroptosis in the pathogenesis of OA. She focuses on cell culture, detection and quantification of markers of ferroptosis (e.g. PCR, Western blot, imaging), measurement of cell volume, cell viability and cell death and the application of results compared to data or samples from the BLOAR Registry Study.
