Lars Grespan embarked on his academic journey with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems at Furtwangen University in Germany. As he ventured into a new academic field, he realigned his focus and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Medical Informatics at the Medical University of Vienna.

His current endeavours revolve around research at the Institute for Outcomes Research at the Medical University of Vienna. He is exploring the dynamic intersection between artificial intelligence and qualitative research methods and investigating the far-reaching potential of large language models to improve qualitative processing tasks. This research forms the core of his master’s thesis, which is being carried out at the Institute for Outcomes Research.
